Biography

Robert J. Menna joined Greenberg Law P.C. in 2010, bringing with him strong legal skills and an excellent ability to communicate and relate to our clients. Robert’s approach to litigation is centered on his passion, drive and dedication to obtain successful conclusions for our clients either by trial to verdict or settlement. He has successfully litigated numerous cases in New York and Connecticut.

He has put this approach into practice by obtaining several substantial settlements and jury verdicts for our clients over his eleven years of practice with our firm, including:

  • $2,620,000 settlement for a construction worker that was struck in the head by a falling steel object
  • $1,450,000 settlement for a driver that was struck in an intersection by a FDNY ambulance
  • $675,000 settlement for a motorcyclist that was struck by a vehicle making a U-turn
  • $650,000 settlement for a pedestrian that slipped on sidewalk due to ice formation emanating from leaking fire hydrant
  • $525,000 settlement for a pedestrian in a wrongful death action
  • $500,000 settlement for a passenger that was rear-ended
  • $425,000 for a passenger involved in a one vehicle roll over incident in Connecticut
  • $400,000 trial verdict for a passenger in a taxi cab that veered off the road
  • $200,000 trial verdict for a driver that was struck in an intersection with a dispute of lights

Robert has also obtained notable decisions in the New York Appellate Divisions with his legal writing skills, including:

Hewitt v NY 70th Street, LLC, et al, 184 AD3d 451 (1st Dept 2020), where the First Department reversed the lower Court’s ruling and awarded Plaintiff summary judgment on Labor Law 240(1) as there was no overhead protection afforded to the Plaintiff at the construction site.

O’Connor v Ronnie Cab Corp., et al., 142 AD3d 972 (2d Dept. 2016), where the Second Department affirmed the lower Court’s ruling in denying defendants’ motion for summary judgment and finding an issue of fact as to whether Rahman’s positioning of his car at least partially in a travel lane was a violation of the traffic rules of the City of New York (see 34 RCNY 4-08[e]), and whether that violation was a proximate cause of the collision and of O’Connor’s injuries and death.

Robert’s peers nominated him as a Super Lawyers Rising Star every year since 2014. He is also a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. Robert is a lifelong New Yorker and lives with his family in Westchester, NY.
